As the population continues to age, there is a growing need for alternative care opportunities for seniors to be fully cared for – mind, body, and spirit. Continued growth of home care services allow seniors to receive the care they need, while keeping their dignity, individuality, and independence.
At Arise Cares, we saw a need for additional care options and set out to create our Senior Day Program. Margaret Kotula, co-founder of the program along with Jay Vachal, explains the mission of the organization, “Our mission is to be a unique and caring provider and community resource for seniors that will allow them to thrive in a safe, comfortable atmosphere along with keeping them active and involved in the community.”
The companionship and compassion from peers and the caregivers provide seniors a unique opportunity to engage with one another in a stimulating, lively, and safe environment. This is a great alternative care solution for seniors who experience loneliness, isolation, the early stages of dementia or those who may need assistance in physical and cognitive levels.
The Senior Day Program gives caretakers and family member’s peace of mind and an economical alternative to a senior living facility. Some of the services available include customized plan of care for each client, mental stimulation, daily hygiene assistance, medication administration, fun activities and field trips, exercise and much more!
The Senior Day Program will complement Arise’s current home care services by presenting home care clients with another option for comfortable, independent, and economical care during the day and continuing care in the evening.
If you or a loved one is interested in participating, you can meet with Margaret, Center Director, to determine if they are a good fit for the program. Once it is determined that the program can meet their needs, the senior and their family will meet with the nurse to create an individual care plan.
